2/29: REGION 6 TOURNAMENT

Tyler Barrett joined Dave Santamaria and Richie Koehler as the only freshmen to win Region Titles for CBA, with Barrett claiming the R6 145-pound Title. He along with fellow frosh Zander Silva and Julian George, and junior Sabastiano Nini, give the Colts four wrestlers headed to AC, tied for their most since sending five in 2016.

Down Low (106-132): There's some good youth coming in here, and the Colts have a nice pair of veterans to break them in around with returning starter, senior Maximus Bean, and junior Sam Nini, who arrives from Allentown. Both Bean and Nini are no strangers to post-season success, with each having won medals at the Districts twice. Sophomores Vincent Principe and Nicholas Punzi, and junior Nicholas Geissler are all varsity-experienced. There are a lot of freshmen in the room throughout the lineup, but Julian George, Angelo DeRose, and Zander Silva are capable of making strong impacts on the lineup early.

In The Middle (138-160): Freshman Tyler Barrett is a highly regarded prospect, ranked as the top incoming freshman in the State by Full Circle. There will be a heavy dose of other new faces that will push each other in the room to crack the lineup, so the team will look to senior David Burrell and junior Mason Garber to provide leadership.

Up Top (170-Hwt): A pair of senior starters return in Ethan Diamond, a District Medalist in 2017, and Declan McGagh. Both have put in the work to have big years in their final seasons, while at the same time providing leadership to what is an otherwise very young group.. Sophomore Taig Sheehy got some matches in last year as a freshman and will be looking to build off that experience. Another one of the Colts' well-regarded freshman lurks in the uppers as well in Robert Canterino.

With more than half the room consisting of freshmen and sophomores, this is a very young team. The veterans here will be filling dual roles, not just as competitors, but as mentors to the very young and talented the Colts have coming into the lineup. This will be a very interesting team to keep an eye on with the potential some of these young guns have. The schedule has been amped up a bit as the Colts look to push themselves and keep on improving all year long as the team looks to put itself back on the map.
